The Aletheia Society is at the forefront of innovation, spearheading a transformative approach through our unconferences. These groundbreaking events will be offered in virtual and in-person formats, providing a democratic platform for collaboration. We aim to unite our member researchers to advance practices for children with disabilities.

During these unconferences, we will collectively identify key research issues that demand our attention, enabling us to devise innovative studies and solutions. With an emphasis on active engagement, we will work together on these issues during the conference and beyond its duration to drive research progress that results in meaningful change.

Gone are the days of passive listening to lengthy PowerPoint presentations. Instead, our unconferences will foster a democratic and participatory environment, encouraging collective decision-making and collaboration. By working together in this manner, we aspire to drive meaningful change within the research landscape of special education.

Working Groups

Join us in dynamic discussions and action on topics such as infusing open science practices in our research, encouraging publication in open-access, not-for-profit journals, and strategizing and reimagining promotion and tenure guidelines to elevate rigorous scientific endeavors.
